Holly Springs is building a downtown on I-575

Holly Springs, incorporated in 1906, sits on I-575 between Woodstock and Canton in south-central Cherokee County, with Hickory Flat to the east and Sixes to the west. Two interchanges serve the city, Exit 11 at Sixes Road and Exit 14 at Holly Springs Parkway, and the Parkway is its commercial spine, lined with shops, offices and service businesses. The population grew from 16,213 in 2020 to an estimated 20,261 in 2025.

The city is building a walkable Town Center along Hickory Road and Palm Street by the historic depot, with apartments, townhomes, a public parking deck, an amphitheater and restaurant space, and a new City Hall broke ground there in November 2025. Northside Hospital Cherokee, one of the county’s largest employers, is just up I-575 in Canton. New storefronts and offices in the Town Center need signs that meet its own sign rules, and growing service companies along the Parkway need fleet graphics that match their storefronts.

    Sign permits in Holly Springs

Sign permits in Holly Springs go through the City of Holly Springs Community Development Department at City Hall on Holly Springs Parkway, where the Zoning Administrator reviews them under Article 10 of the city’s zoning ordinance, Signs and Outdoor Advertising. That article covers the permit process, permitted signs by zoning district, design review, temporary signs and prohibited signs, and the Town Center district has its own sign regulations. Many nearby addresses carry a Canton or Woodstock mailing address, so we confirm the jurisdiction, prepare the drawings and file as your authorized agent.

What clients say about working with us

Every High Stakes Creative review on Google is five stars. A few in the clients’ own words.

    ★★★★★

We had a fantastic experience working with Matt Matthews and his team on a custom company van wrap for Affinity Home Lending. From design to production to installation, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. They went above and beyond, and insured we were 100% happy with the final product.

    ★★★★★

These guys have wrapped and lettered our vehicles and they have created signage for our office space. We could not be happier with their creativity and workmanship. Everything they do is a work of art and a sound investment.

Tyrus G.Google review · Vehicle lettering and office signage
    ★★★★★

We hired Matt and High Stakes on a referral from a friend at another sign company (that’s saying a LOT!) to produce a new lighted building sign for our comic & toy shop expansion. They were great to work with, highly communicative, helped us figure out a version of the sign that would fit within our budget. We ALREADY have new customers into the store because they have SEEN our new sign!

    Holly Springs questions we hear

Who issues sign permits in Holly Springs?

The City of Holly Springs Community Development Department, where the Zoning Administrator reviews signs under Article 10 of the zoning ordinance. Many addresses around Holly Springs carry a Canton or Woodstock mailing address but sit in unincorporated Cherokee County or a neighboring city, so we confirm the jurisdiction first and file as your authorized agent.

We are opening in the Holly Springs Town Center. Are there special sign rules?

Yes. The Town Center district has its own sign regulations and design requirements in the city’s zoning ordinance, separate from the rules along Holly Springs Parkway. We review those standards with you and the developer, design storefront and blade signs that fit them, and handle the permit.

Can you letter our trucks and vans as well as our storefront?

Yes. Many Holly Springs service companies want the truck, the trailer and the storefront to match. We design one brand layout, adapt it to each vehicle type and the building, and schedule vehicles in small groups so your crews stay on the road.

How far ahead should we order signage for a new Holly Springs location?

Plan on 60 to 90 days. Building signs need landlord approval, a city permit and production time, and interior graphics are installed after paint and flooring. We map the schedule backward from your opening date so signs are up for day one.

Can you roll out a rebrand to our other Cherokee County locations?

Yes. We survey each site, produce one sign schedule listing every sign type and material by location, and pilot the rollout before moving to the rest. Because strategy, design, production and installation stay under one roof, every location uses the same files, colors and installation standards.
