High Stakes Creative provides corporate branding, branded environments and architectural signage for Jasper and Pickens County organizations from our Kennesaw studio, about 40 miles and 45 to 50 minutes away via I-575 and GA-515. Since 2007 one team has handled strategy, design, production and installation, so a medical office on Highway 515, a plant in Tate or a downtown storefront works with one partner from design through permitting and installation.
Jasper calls itself the First Mountain City. It had 4,084 residents at the 2020 census and is the seat of Pickens County, which grew from 29,431 people in 2010 to an estimated 37,167 in 2025. GA-515 bypasses the city to the west and becomes I-575 just south of town, while GA-53 runs east to west through downtown, and much of the county's growth since the highway opened has followed the four-lane. Piedmont Mountainside Hospital, at 1266 Highway 515 South, has 76 licensed beds and more than 550 employees and serves Pickens, Gilmer and north Cherokee counties. Chattahoochee Technical College runs its Appalachian Campus in Jasper.
Marble built the county. The Georgia Marble Company operates in Marble Hill near Tate, Pickens marble went into the Lincoln Memorial's statue of Lincoln, and the 1949 Pickens County Courthouse on North Main Street is faced in Tate marble. Manufacturing followed: in 2011 Georgia Trend listed Lexington Precision, Royston, Imerys Performance Minerals, Polycor and J.M. Huber as the county's top manufacturing employers, and described Royston's 200,000-square-foot Jasper plant, which builds checkouts and cabinetry for national grocers. A Jasper project can be a plant entrance monument, a medical suite on Highway 515 or a sign on a historic downtown storefront, and city and county rules differ for each.

Branded environments
Monument signs, building identification and tenant signs for plants, offices and outparcels on GA-515 and GA-53. Jasper asks for drawings showing sign height, dimensions and setbacks, and Pickens County asks for a plat showing the sign's location, so we produce those drawings as part of the sign package.
Architectural signage
Many Pickens County organizations also run sites in Ellijay, Canton and the rest of north metro Atlanta. When the logo changes, we survey each location, build a single sign schedule, and replace signage in planned waves so every site carries the new brand within a defined window.
Rebrand rollouts
Builders, utility contractors and service companies covering Pickens and Gilmer counties keep crews on mountain roads all day. We design one fleet standard and apply it across trucks, vans and trailers, using films backed by the 3M MCS Warranty where eligible, so a growing fleet stays consistent as vehicles are added.

Inside city limits, sign permits are issued by the City of Jasper's Planning & Development Department at City Hall, 200 Burnt Mountain Road. The city asks for a drawing of the sign's location, sign and wall dimensions and a copy of the sign face for wall signs, and height, setbacks and total area for monument signs, plus the size of any existing signs that will stay. The installing contractor must hold a City of Jasper license, incomplete applications are not reviewed, and electrical work and signs on existing buildings need separate permits. Outside city limits, Pickens County Planning & Development at 1266 East Church Street wants a plat showing the sign's location and a drawing with height and width, and installing before approval doubles the fee. We prepare the full package.

Outside them, Pickens County Planning & Development at 1266 East Church Street handles signs. Jasper annexed parts of the GA-515 corridor when it extended water and sewer there, so we confirm the jurisdiction for your parcel before design begins.
In unincorporated Pickens County, the county's sign permit guide allows freestanding signs up to 20 feet tall and 100 square feet on Highway 515, 15 feet and 50 square feet on other state routes such as GA-53, and 10 feet and 32 square feet on local roads. Inside Jasper, the city's own sign ordinance applies, and we check it for your zoning before sizing the sign.
